Wisconsin vs Oregon St. Live In Game BLOG

10:37 am -  This week the Wisconsin Badgers will face a foe from the Pac 12 Oregon State.  This will be a better test for the Badgers and Russell Wilson, but still should be a game the Badgers win.  The Beavers are a much better team then UNLV, as a matter of fact the people in Vegas feel Oregon St. is 16 points better then UNLV, as the Badgers who were 38 point favorites a week ago are just a 22 point favorite this week.   That brings me to my pick for this week.  Now I have to remind everyone that I said UW wouldn’t cover last week and they didn’t, but I was off on the score which ended up 51 – 17, and I predicted 44 – 17!  Not too shabby for my first pick of the year.  This week I DO think the Badgers cover the 22 points and I’ll say the score will be 47 – 21!  We’ll see if I’m right “AGAIN”!!  Stay Tuned we are just 15 min from kick off—  Game SIDE NOTE: Jamar Fletcher will today’s honoree captain!

10:49 am –  GAME NOTE: LB Kevin Claxton for UW will miss todays game will a broken wrist, Ethan Armstrong will start in his absence today.  Any other news before kick off check here, otherwise we’ll see ya at Kick Off.  Remember to also follow my comments during the game on Twitter as well @BadgerSportBeat

11:01 am – Oregon St. won the coin toss and will have the ball first… stay tuned!

11:05 am – Badgers hold Oregon St. after the Beavers got just 1 first down, Devin Smith the Badgers DB had two very nice pass break ups and almost one INT.  He seems like a guy who will always be around the ball, kind of like Jim Leonhard.  There was another play on the drive where the Beavers RB dropped the ball after being ruled down, and he was right there to pick it up in case it was a fumble.  I’m liking what I’m seeing from him right now.  Badgers Take over let’s see if they can build on their streak of 8 straight scores with their starters.

11:11 am – Badgers have their first 3 and out of the season while Wilson in the game.  Badgers only had two 3rd down plays all of last week when the starters were in, I guess today they showed they are human!

11:16 am – TOUCHDOWN BADGERS!!!!  Wilson with a 17 yard TD Pass to Pederson!  After a -4 yard punt by the Beavers the Badgers scored on a 17 yard TD pass from Wilson to Pederson.  Yes you read that above sentence right, the Beavers had a -4 yard punt, and there is no wind at all today!!  I will give Oregon St some credit, they have held Monte Ball and the running game down so far, but still Badgers lead in the 1st Quarter 7 – 0

11:37 am – END OF THE 1ST QUARTER —-  Badgers Lead 7 – 0!   This game isn’t going quite as good as last week, right now OSU is shutting down the UW’s run, and Chryst hasn’t responded by mixing things up on 1st and 2nd down.  Right now it seems UW is running on first and second down for next to nothing and forcing Wilson to come through on third down and long, he’s been doing a good job but it’s almost impossible to sustain a drive that way.  End of Quarter Stat Leaders:  Rushing – James White (14 yards), Passing – Wilson (63 yards and 1 TD), Receiving – Toon (20 yards)

11:56 am – TOUCHDOWN BADGERS!!!!  Wilson with a short fade TD Pass to Nick Toooooooooon!  A very nice drive, mixed up the play calling on first and second down, really had the Beavers guessing, Wilson had a very nice drive throwing the ball.  Toon now has 5 catches and a TD.  Wilson has 2 TD passes.  Badgers lead 14 – 0

12:21 pm – TOUCHDOWN BADGERS!!!!  Wilson with a short TD Pass to Jacob Pederson!  Wilson now with 3 TD passes and Jacob Pederson scores his 2nd of the day.   Wisconsin’s running game got it going that drive, it’s starting to look like Oregon St is getting wore down by the big OL of the Badgers.  Wisconsin leads 21 – 0 late in the 2nd Quarter!

12:27 pm – END OF 2nd QUARTER —  Badgers Lead 21 – 0!  Wisconsin is playing a pretty solid game so far, the running game didn’t get things rolling until late in the 2nd quarter during the last TD drive.  Russell Wilson is having a nice day so far with 3 TD passes, Nick Toon has 1 of those TD’s and Jacob Pederson has the other two !!  So far so good, stay tuned Badgers get the ball to start the 2nd half!

12:54 pm – TOUCHDOWN BADGERS!!!!  Monte Ball with a 17 yard scamper for his first rushing TD of the day!  The Badgers rushing attack is starting to wear down the Oregon St defense.  Nice opening drive, and Wisconsin now leads 28 – 0!

1:21 pm –  END OF 3rd QUARTER –  Badgers lead 28 – 0 and are now at the 1 yard line 4th and goal, so what I’m saying is this one is all but over, which means if you need anymore updates for this game follow me over at Twitter @BadgerSportBeat because I’m going to call this live blog a final!!

1:22 pm – TOUCHDOWN BADGERS!!!!  Badgers lead 35 – 0!!  Monte Ball with his 2nd TD of the day, this one is over, check me out at Twitter @BadgerSportBeat if you need some more information on this game, I’ll be over there, but I’m done with the live blog for today!
