Men’s Hockey TV Schedule Announced for 2011 – 12 Season

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin men’s hockey team announced its television schedule for the 2011-12 season. Currently, 18 regular season games are scheduled for live broadcast.

Thirteen of those contests will also be shown on tape delay.

FSN Wisconsin will broadcast six contests, including the team’s season opener on Oct. 7 against Northern Michigan.

Big Ten Network and TVW 14 in Madison will each cover four games, while WISC-TV and the Wisconsin Channel will broadcast two contests.

Games covered on WISC-TV and TVW will also be broadcast around the state on Charter Extra.

Wisconsin Channel will cover 13 contests on a tape-delayed basis. Eleven of those contests will air again that same night, while all 13 are scheduled to air again the next day.

The Wisconsin Channel is a Digital TV service of Wisconsin Public Television that is available over-the-air and on many cable TV systems throughout Wisconsin. Viewers should consult local TV listings, wpt.org or their cable provider for more information on how they can receive the Wisconsin Channel in their region.

Returning to call Wisconsin’s live play-by-play action is longtime hockey announcer Paul Braun. Former Badger defenseman Rob Andringa also returns to provide color for the broadcasts. Back to call the tape-delayed action is Robb Vogel, who will partner with former Badger greats Theran Welsh and Ron Vincent. Welsh and Vincent will split analyst duties throughout the season.
